A full-bodied mix of garlic, basil, lemon and chives. Perhaps the most
versatile of all the Seasoned Skewers. After a long day just skewer up some
chicken, pan roast it, a little salad, some good bread, a glass of wine and life
is looking fine. Great taste for any beef, poultry or seafood you choose.
Garlic Herb Beef Skewers
Serves 4
4 Garlic Herb Seasoned Skewers™
1/2 cup white wine
1 to 1 1/4 lbs boneless beef steak, cut into 8 pieces (2-inch chunks)
8 medium mushrooms
8 chunks (1 1/2-inch pieces) red onion
Salt and pepper to taste
Soak skewers in white wine for 10 to 15 minutes.
Thread onto each skewer in the following order: beef-mushroom-onion, using one
piece of each. Let sit for 10 to 20 minutes in refrigerator.
Lightly brush skewers on each side with olive or salad oil and season to taste
with salt and pepper.
Place on a preheated, medium-high grill and cook until beef is cooked to desired
doneness, about 4 to 5 minutes per side.
Chef's Suggestions: Serve with seasoned orzo pasta tossed with extra-virgin
olive oil, chopped tomato and parsley.
